Popcorn recipe:

  • Un-popped popcorn kernels
  • Extra virgin olive oil (any salad or cooking oil can be used in a pinch, but not motor oil)

Directions:

I like extra virgin olive oil because it adds a fruity taste. The popping of the corn takes out the pert taste of raw extra virgin olive oil. Anyway take a big pot and barely cover the bottom with uncooked popcorn kernels. Add enough oil to barely cover the bottom of the pot. Cover the pot and cook (shake it as you go) on high till all the kernels have popped. This should not take more than several minutes. Using regular oil, it is a fraction of the cost of boxed cereal). I really dislike microwave popcorn. Allegedly, the first cereal was popcorn.
