David Bouley (aka Judland)
Greetings from the "land of living skies", the beautiful city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Yes, it can get cold here in the winter time, but dang hot in the summer. That's life on the prairies. It can also get windy sometimes, but that's not our fault. You see, Saskatchewan is positioned between two other provinces (Alberta to the west and Manitoba to the east) and shares a border with the USA. So, you see, it's so windy here because of three simple facts, Alberta blows and Manitoba sucks! And the US... well they live in a vacuum down there! :D
I share my quaint, simple, and over cluttered house with my loving wife, our over-protective black lab, sucky baby black-on-black tabby cat, noisy love bird and a hungry aquarium of fish.
I've been a Linux user since 2001 and have been a happier computer user ever since.
The Linux distribution that ushered me in to the world of open and free software was Mandrake (what is now known as Mandriva) 8.2, which I bought at a local computer store.
Once my eyes were opened, I left Mandrake to see what else the world of Linux distributions had to offer. In the past five years, I've had the opportunity of trying many versions of Linux, learning more than I ever though possible.
Until early this year (2006), I was still looking for the perfect (for me) Linux OS. Well, strangely enough, my search brought me full circle back to Mandriva.
I'm now a Mandriva 2007 user and a member of the Mandriva Club. I'm glad that I can contribute something back to this wonderful OS.
If you happen to find me on the TLLTS forums, you'll probably find me talking about Mandriva (these days) ;)
