Cheap Beef Stroganoff
This one is ALL me. Well and my Mom! My Mom made this over the years and I have made a couple tweaks that make it awesome! Perfect for cold weather! - Joel McLaughlin
Ingredients
2 lbs Stew Beef or Round Steak in 1 inch chunks
Garlic (I use granulated)
Canned Mushrooms
Worcestershire Sauce
Fresh or Frozen Chopped Onion
2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
24 oz container of Sour Cream
1 Package Egg Noodles
Directions
Throw the Beef, garlic, spices Worcestershire Sauce to taste into a crockpot. Put this on low and cook a minimum of 8 hours. I usually put it before going to work.
When you get home or after the beef is done, saute some onions with the mushrooms until the onions are at least translucent. You can caramelize them a bit if you'd like. Put those in with the beef along with the soup and the sour cream. Kick the crockpot up to high and while this is heating up, cook your noodles. I use the WIDESTand thickest egg noodles I can find or make some of my own.
When the noodles are done, your sauce should be. Lay a bed of noodles on the plate and put some saucea and meat on that. Serve with some bread to sop up the extra sauce!
